AE Works is actively seeking a Low Voltage Systems Designer, RCDD (IT) to join our growing team. Individuals who are qualified for this position shall possess the ability to work directly with clients and lead the discussion during presentations and project meetings, shall have excellent communication and analytical/problem solving skills, lead and work within a multi-disciplinary team setting, and be able to work in  scheduled, driven, and challenging environment.

Role and Responsibilities for Position:

  • Lead the design and construction administration of Telecommunication systems for building projects, both new construction and renovation, within various market segments.
  • Coordinate design and drawing sets with the project team, including in-house architects and engineers and sub-consultants.  
  • Compile drawings and specifications at each project submission.
  • Participate in meetings, internally and externally, to collaborate with other team members and Clients.
  • Travel with team members for onsite collaboration and investigations. 

Technical Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • RCDD in good standing.
  • Competency in design and documentation of one or more of the following:  data/telephone networks, intercommunications systems, physical security systems, audio/visual systems, nurse call systems, fire alarm and signaling systems, building automation systems, wireless networks, inside plant structured cabling infrastructure (fiber/copper).
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering construction documents.
  • Working knowledge of preparing project drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Studio.
  • Able to work within a multi-discipline team setting.
  • Excellent communication and analytical/problem solving skills.
