AE Works Ltd. is seeking a dynamic, forward thinking engineering professional to lead and develop a highly skilled team of mechanical, electrical and plumbing/fire protection engineers.

From New York to California, our team is busy planning and designing projects throughout the country. We are incorporating sustainable design into historic landmarks, working to enhance healing environments, designing the workplace of the future, and meeting the design challenges of public safety facilities and 24/7 infrastructure requirements.  Our clients include commercial building owners, hospitals, higher education campuses, and governments.

 Our top applicants will possess the following technical background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 15+ years of manager or leadership experience in an Architectural Engineering or MEP firm environment
  • Experience in design of healthcare, senior care, higher education, commercial, public safety, and/or government projects, with specialization in a specific area of design required
  • Sales experience preferred including the creation of proposals and participation in interviews for business development.
  • 5+ years of client relationship building and principal level engagement.
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture is a must.
  • Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration.

 

 In the role of Engineering Manaing Principal, we'll count on you to:

  • Strengthen the breadth and depth of the engineering practice firm wide, supporting engineering efforts at both the project and departmental level
  • Act as a mentor and manager of the engineering staff, offering leadership, clear guidance and feedback on a regular basis to ensure quality results by staff
  • Maintain involvement and ensure quality control in all phases of projects where engineering is involved
  • Work directly with the COO and senior management to develop major business initiatives around engineering and other firm services
  • Coordinate MEP services with project team leads
  • Serve as a primary contact with client and consultants for engineering services
  • Research and gather information on potential clients, potential projects, and trends in market sectors
  • Prepare fee proposal, qualifications packages, presentations, and other related activities for potential opportunities
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback on market trends. Participation in speaking and presenting to demonstrate expertise preferred
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policy
  • Perform other duties as needed
