, ,AE Works is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. Individuals who are qualified for this position possess the ability to work directly with clients and lead discussions during presentations, project meetings, pre-design and programming activities, shall have excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical/problem solving skills, lead and work within a multi-discipline team setting and be able to work in a scheduled, driven, and challenging environment.
This position can work out of either our Arlington, VA or our Pittsburgh, PA office. Role and Responsibilities for Position:
- Develop planning and processes for project teams through all phases of design and construction for building projects, both new construction and renovation, within various market segments
- Produce management documents (plans, minutes, scopes of work, subcontractor agreements, etc.) as needed for clarity
- Set goals and milestones for projects and achieve through effective leadership
- Champion project management relevance within the firm through mentorship and training
- Lead and participate in meetings, internally and externally, to collaborate with other team members and our Clients
- Travel with team members for onsite collaboration, investigations, and project presentations
- Attend interviews for new work opportunities and participate as needed
- Attend industry events including participation in speaking and presenting to demonstrate expertise
Technical Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering from an NAAB or ABET accredited university, respectively
- PE or RA registration in PA, VA or other reciprocal state
- PMI credential given preference
- 15+ years of industry experience required
- Recent project management experience in areas of federal, healthcare, senior care, higher education, commercial, public safety, and/or local governmental projects
- Highly proficient in Planning and Scheduling technology, including Microsoft Project, or other similar platforms
- Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration
