AE Works is seeking a talented Proposal Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex proposals from inception to submission. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, organization, and project management skills.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proposal Manager to join our dynamic Architecture/Engineering (A/E) firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex proposals from inception to submission. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, organization, and project management skills.

 

Role and Responsibilities for Position:

  • Proposal Development & Management: Lead the development and coordination of complex proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and alignment with firm’s strategic goals. Manage proposal schedules and deadlines effectively.
  • Writing & Content Creation: Craft compelling proposal content that clearly articulates the firm’s value proposition, expertise, and differentiators. Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, grammar, and compliance.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with technical staff, marketing team, and senior leadership to gather information and insights necessary for proposal development. Lead and facilitate proposal strategy sessions.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on potential clients, competitors, and market trends to inform proposal strategies and approaches.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all proposals maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy, and consistency with the firm’s brand and messaging.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve the proposal process through feedback, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients as needed during the proposal process to clarify requirements, gather feedback, or present proposal elements.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in proposal development, preferably in the A/E industry, but not required
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, adobe creative suite, and familiarity with proposal management software.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously
